ClearWave Home Tech is equipment-agnostic.
This policy is here to set clear expectations around how we work with customer-provided equipment, recommended products, and new purchases. Our goal is to keep projects clean, predictable, and respectful of your home — without unnecessary restrictions.
Customer Provided Equipment
We regularly work with equipment that homeowners already own, including TVs, routers, audio systems, streaming devices, and smart home products.
As long as equipment is compatible with existing wiring and power, and can be installed non-destructively, we’re happy to support it.
If you’re unsure whether something you own is a good fit, we can review it during a visit or consultation.
Recommended Equipment
ClearWave may recommend specific products based on reliability, ease of use, long-term support, and compatibility with non-destructive installation.
Recommendations are meant to simplify decisions — not limit your options. You are never required to purchase equipment through ClearWave.
Third-Party & Online Purchases
You’re welcome to purchase equipment from retailers of your choice, including online stores and local vendors.
We’re happy to install and configure third-party purchases as long as they are complete, functional, and suitable for non-destructive installation.
Compatibility & Limitations
ClearWave cannot guarantee compatibility between all third-party devices, especially when mixing brands, generations, or platforms.
If equipment is incompatible, defective, or requires licensed electrical or structural work to install, we’ll explain the limitation and discuss alternative options.
We do not modify equipment or perform destructive work to force compatibility.
Returns, Warranties & Manufacturer Support
ClearWave does not handle product returns, exchanges, or manufacturer warranties on behalf of clients.
Warranty coverage, return policies, and manufacturer support remain the responsibility of the retailer or manufacturer. We’re happy to assist with setup and configuration within the scope of our services.
